Villa Mitre fue de menor a mayor para vencer a Olimpo 93-75, con Berdini (28, 5\/7 t3, 4\/7 t2 y 5\/5 tl) como goleador y figura, seguido de Pineda (18, 5\/9 t2, 5\/7 tl), Bollo (16 + 9 rebotes) y G\u00f3mez (12 + 7 tableros). En el local debut\u00f3 el extranjero Jervaughn Scales (18 puntos, ver aparte), goleador del aurinegro junto a Germ\u00e1n Ressia, mientras que hubo buen ST de S\u00e1nchez (16, 8\/12 t2). <\/b><\/p>\n

El \u201ctricolor\u201d se adue\u00f1\u00f3 de un nuevo cl\u00e1sico, que folcl\u00f3ricamente hablando estuvo lejos de ser tal, con la prohibici\u00f3n desde hace varios derby del p\u00fablico visitante (solamente dirigentes y allegados). Para esta edici\u00f3n, Villa Mitre deb\u00eda suplir la partida de H\u00e9rman Banegas, qui\u00e9n emigr\u00f3 a Gimnasia de La Plata. Para ello el entrenador Ugolini decidi\u00f3 no contratar jugador alguno y apostar a Javier Bollo como reemplazante natural.<\/p>\n

Y Bollo cumpli\u00f3 con creces la baja del \u201cFlaco\u201d, no solo en ataque (hizo 16 puntos, baj\u00f3 3 rebotes y gener\u00f3 7 faltas) sino que en defensa se rasp\u00f3 y carg\u00f3 de faltas a los internos de Olimpo, donde termin\u00f3 con 6 recobres. Justamente el recambio de Olimpo fue en la pintura, donde desde el retiro de Scolari, viene sufriendo con la altura. Ahora lleg\u00f3 Jervaughn Scales por Dar\u00edo Mansilla (se fue a Ateneo) y el veteran\u00edsimo (43 a\u00f1os) tuvo un buen debut, siendo receptor principal de los ataques, hasta que quiz\u00e1 el cansancio y el roce, lo retiraron por infracciones.<\/p>\n

El primer cuarto fue de Olimpo (22-19), con inicio efectivo y con ritmo para ambos clubes, cuando con 8 cada uno para Scales (3\/5 t2) anotando doble y falta y Germ\u00e1n (2\/4 t3), bien escoltados por un decisivo Gim\u00e9nez (6), pero en Villa Mitre comenz\u00f3 con buena mano Berdini (8, 2\/3 t3), mas Pineda (6) en la l\u00ednea para arrimar.<\/p>\n

Tras 4 minutos del 2C, Olimpo sac\u00f3 m\u00e1xima de cinco (29-24) con Scales (5) efectivo en libres, pero luego estuvo casi 5 min sin anotar en cancha, cuesti\u00f3n que entre Pineda (10, 4\/5 tc) y Bollo (7), mas los 6 rebotes en ataque, Villa Mitre lo dio vuelta al descanso largo 43-42, cuando la pol\u00e9mica por la cantidad de infracciones en el haber de Pineda tomaban debate en la mesa de control (le hab\u00edan pitado dos en el 1C pero figuraba una).<\/p>\n

En el segundo tiempo, el \u201cTricolor\u201d estableci\u00f3 claras diferencias y se lo llev\u00f3 50-33. Primero tuvo que sufrir un inspirado \u201cChiqui\u201d S\u00e1nchez (8), acompa\u00f1ado de Scales (3), pero un parcial de 15-5 para Villa Mitre, con los triples de Berdini (8) y G\u00f3mez (5), mas los rompimientos de Acosta (5) de buena dupla con Renzi, cerraron 3C arriba la visita 68-59.<\/p>\n

Olimpo intent\u00f3 con defensa combinada reducir la brecha, pero la exigencia por intentar la heroica, lo llevaron a cometer mas errores y tiros apresurados. All\u00ed fue cuando Berdini tuvo visi\u00f3n y manejo el ritmo de partido, anot\u00f3 10 puntos mas sin fallar, acompa\u00f1ado de 5 cada uno de Bollo, Diomedi y G\u00f3mez, cuando el aurinegro baj\u00f3 los brazos del todo y \u00fanicamente S\u00e1nchez (8) era efectivo en ofensiva. Villa Mitre no dej\u00f3 dudas y venci\u00f3 ampliamente a Olimpo 93-75.<\/p>\n
