Francisco Caffaro y Juan De La Fuente fueron los m\u00e1ximos anotadores albicelestes con 17 puntos cada uno, mientras que Marco Giordano sum\u00f3 14 unidades. El base Juan Ignacio Marcos no fue de la partida debido a una leve molestia f\u00edsica; mientras que el bahiense Juan Cruz Marini (Pac\u00edfico) sum\u00f3 7 puntos y cumpli\u00f3 bien con su rol cuando le toc\u00f3 jugar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El primer partido de preparaci\u00f3n en suelo europeo result\u00f3 una excelente experiencia para la Selecci\u00f3n Nacional U16. Argentina enfrent\u00f3 a una estupenda selecci\u00f3n de Serbia y m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de un inicio lento logr\u00f3 meterse en el partido. Es m\u00e1s, a poco de iniciado el \u00faltimo parcial, los chicos argentinos se acercaron a 9 puntos y tuvieron dos balones accesibles para arrimarse a\u00fan m\u00e1s, pero no las pudieron aprovechar.<\/p>\n<p>Con los nervios l\u00f3gicos por jugar su primer partido, Argentina tard\u00f3 en acomodarse en el encuentro y Serbia se escap\u00f3 26-13 en el cierre del primer parcial. Entre el segundo y el tercer cuarto se vio lo mejor de los dirigidos por Sebasti\u00e1n Uranga, que perdieron solo por un punto el segundo periodo (22-21) y se impusieron 20-18 en el tercero.<\/p>\n<p>Con gran trabajo, especialmente del per\u00edmetro liderado por Francisco Farabello, De La Fuente y Giordano, los chicos albicelestes se pusieron en juego en el \u00faltimo periodo. No obstante, con el correr de los minutos, nuestra selecci\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 a sentir el cansancio, los Serbios se hicieron muy fuertes en los rebotes y se escaparon en los \u00faltimos instantes para extender la ventaja hasta el 85-66 final.<\/p>\n<p>De todas maneras, el balance de este primer encuentro es claramente positivo. Se trata de una Selecci\u00f3n Argentina de desarrollo para la cual la experiencia de enfrentarse ante rivales de semejante nivel es de un valor incalculable.
