As\u00ed lo decidi\u00f3 el entrenador Sergio Hern\u00e1ndez, tras comunicarse en reiteradas ocasiones con el santafesino y comprobar su buen estado f\u00edsico. De esta manera, Delfino retorna a la Selecci\u00f3n luego de cuatro a\u00f1os. Vale recordar que Carlos, uno de los jugadores m\u00e1s talentosos de la historia argentina, llega tras una forzada inactividad de tres a\u00f1os a causa de distintas lesiones que le impidieron volver a competir formalmente en la NBA, donde supo vestir las camisetas de Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks y Houston Rockets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de varias charlas con el jugador, Sergio Hern\u00e1ndez decidi\u00f3 sumar a la lista de convocados a Carlos Delfino, para afrontar la preparaci\u00f3n de los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de R\u00edo de Janeiro. De esta manera el santafesino, que se encuentra entrenando de manera individual, se incorporar\u00e1 a la preselecci\u00f3n<\/a> junto al resto de sus compa\u00f1eros el domingo 3 de julio.<\/p>\n

Ser\u00e1 el retorno de Delfino a la Selecci\u00f3n mayor despu\u00e9s de cuatro a\u00f1os de ausencia. Su \u00faltimo partido fue ante Rusia<\/a>, en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Londres 2012, en el juego por el tercer puesto. En total, acumula 872 puntos en 67 encuentros oficiales. En sus ocho torneos disputados, obtuvo el primer puesto en el Sudamericano de Campos (2004), el Oro en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Atenas (2004), el subcampeonato en el Preol\u00edmpico 2007 (Las Vegas), el Bronce en los Juegos de Beijing (2008) y el primer puesto en el Preol\u00edmpico de Mar del Plata (2011).<\/p>\n
