La Selecci\u00f3n Nacional U18-M 3×3 cay\u00f3 en semifinales ante Francia por un apretado 16-14, pero luego venci\u00f3 a Rusia 17-14 y se qued\u00f3 con la medalla de bronce en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de la Juventud, que se desarrollan hasta el 28 de agosto en Nanjing, China. El bahiense Rodrigo Gerhardt sum\u00f3 2 puntos en el \u00faltimo juego.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gran alegr\u00eda para el b\u00e1squetbol argentino. La Selecci\u00f3n Nacional U18-M se colg\u00f3 la medalla de bronce en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de la Juventud. Luego de ocho d\u00edas de competici\u00f3n, los dirigidos por Marcelo Germanetto lo consiguieron y metieron a nuestro pa\u00eds en el podio.<\/p>\n

A primer turno, en semifinales, Argentina fue superior a lo largo de casi todo el juego, pero no pudo sobre el cierre y el triunfo se le escap\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Los chicos argentinos tuvieron un excelente comienzo gracias al desequilibrio de Jos\u00e9 Vildoza, quien anot\u00f3 5 puntos para poner a nuestra selecci\u00f3n arriba 5-2 con 7m30s por jugar. Francia reaccion\u00f3 para reducir la diferencia a solo 1 tanto (6-5), pero con dos puntos de Michel Divoy y uno de Vildoza, Argentina se escap\u00f3 10-6.<\/p>\n

No obstante, la fortaleza f\u00edsica, capacidad atl\u00e9tica y altura de los franceses comenz\u00f3 a hacerse sentir. Los dirigidos por Marcelo Germanetto comenzaron a cargarse de faltas, lo que es muy peligroso ya que al llegar al l\u00edmite de 7 cada nueva falta otorga dos libres al rival.<\/p>\n

Un nuevo lanzamiento de dos puntos acertado por Divoy, m\u00e1s un simple de Vildoza marcaron dos tantos de luz (13-11) para Argentina, con 1m45s restantes. Lamentablemente, las faltas complicaron a nuestra selecci\u00f3n. Desde la l\u00ednea de libres, Francia empat\u00f3 en 13 a 1m20s y luego, por la misma v\u00eda, pas\u00f3 al frente por primera vez (15-13) con 53 segundos por jugar.<\/p>\n

Argentina tuvo un lanzamiento de larga distancia para empatar, pero el bal\u00f3n no quiso ingresar y el apretado triunfo (16-14) qued\u00f3 en manos de los franceses.<\/p>\n

Poco despu\u00e9s, los chicos argentinos saltaron al campo de juego nuevamente, para medirse ante Rusia (que perdi\u00f3 frente a Lituania en la otra semifinal). Ambos equipos llegaron golpeados por no haber podido entrar a la final, pero eso r\u00e1pidamente qued\u00f3 atr\u00e1s y el juego fue muy competitivo.<\/p>\n

Rusia peg\u00f3 primero y se escap\u00f3 5-2 con muy buena efectividad a larga distancia. Argentina luch\u00f3 y logr\u00f3 empatar el juego en 6, tras una conversi\u00f3n de dos puntos de Vildoza. Lugr\u00edn captur\u00f3 una pelota perdida y puso adelante (7-6) por primera vez en el juego al equipo argentino, con 6m38s por jugar.<\/p>\n

A partir de ah\u00ed el partido fue muy parejo. Vildoza (9 puntos en total) fue vital con todo tipo de anotaciones para mantener a Argentina en juego. Un rebote ofensivo y conversi\u00f3n de Gerhardt le dio dos tantos de luz a nuestra selecci\u00f3n (10-8), a 3m24s del final.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, Rusia empat\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente y el juego se defini\u00f3 reci\u00e9n sobre el final. Divoy hizo una aparici\u00f3n fundamental con dos bombas en los minutos finales y Argentina finalmente pudo definir el juego, vengarse de la derrota sufrida ante Rusia en la fase de grupos y ganar la medalla de bronce con un triunfo 17-14.<\/p>\n
