En un partido caliente, Olimpo fue superado reci\u00e9n en el cierre por Atenas de Patagones, quien se qued\u00f3 con el duelo por 97 a 91. El Griego, que tuvo un gran primer tiempo, aguant\u00f3 con car\u00e1cter la embestida bahiense en el cierre. Howard Wilkerson fue el goleador de la noche con 25 puntos. Adem\u00e1s otros cuatro jugadores superaron la decena de unidades. Mariano Castets fue el mejor en el aurinegro (26 puntos). Fueron descalificados Dentis y Matthews (19). Ambos se ver\u00e1n las caras nuevamente el 7 de febrero, en el Norberto Tom\u00e1s.<\/strong><\/p>\n

El duelo que protagonizan Atenas y Olimpo ya se ha transformado en un cl\u00e1sico regional. Enfrentados en el Federal pasado y ahora en el TNA, los dos equipos animaron un atractivo y caliente partido.\u00a0Fue el local el que termin\u00f3 festejando por 97-91, aunque tuvo que batallar y dar muestras de personalidad para sacar adelante el encuentro.<\/p>\n

Justamente el equipo de Patagones arranc\u00f3 mejor. Eso se debi\u00f3 en gran parte a lo que produjeron sus internos, Wilkerson y Dentis. A nivel general, el equipo mostr\u00f3 mucha intensidad para cargar al rebote ofensivo. Ah\u00ed se luci\u00f3 el for\u00e1neo, que tambi\u00e9n aport\u00f3 desde el per\u00edmetro (2\/2 T3). Mientras que en defensa Dentis contuvo y carg\u00f3 contra Matthews, figura visitante. De a poco le hizo perder la paciencia al extranjero visitante, que se carg\u00f3 r\u00e1pido de faltas y debi\u00f3 salir. Todo esto produjo que Atenas se llevara el primer chico por 6 (23-17).<\/p>\n

En el segundo per\u00edodo la brecha aument\u00f3. Un triple de Grun y 5 tantos al hilo de Wilkerson le dieron una buena ventaja en el primer 1m30s de juego (31-19). Con el correr de los minutos gan\u00f3 confianza, aparecieron alternativas y sac\u00f3 una m\u00e1xima moment\u00e1nea de 13 (34-21). Si bien un parcial de 6-0 a favor del Aurinegro con Castets a la cabeza hizo preocupar (34-27), el due\u00f1o de casa se fue arriba al descanso largo (45-35).<\/p>\n

En el medio de este tr\u00e1mite se produjo el regreso de Mart\u00edn Percaz luego de estar tres meses parado por una luxaci\u00f3n de hombro. El base tuvo un reestreno positivo, con 6 puntos, 4 asistencias y 3 rebotes en 16m25s. Pero lo m\u00e1s importante no fueron los n\u00fameros, sino que aport\u00f3 algo que el Griego necesitaba: explosividad.<\/p>\n

Lo mejor del equipo de Guillermo Bogliacino se vio en el inicio del complemento. Mostr\u00f3 otro ritmo en relaci\u00f3n al primer tiempo, algo que se reflej\u00f3 en el marcador. Encontr\u00f3 variantes y sell\u00f3 la diferencia m\u00e1xima de la noche: 17 a falta de 4m43s (62-45).<\/p>\n

Sin embargo se qued\u00f3 en los segundos 5m del tercer segmento y Olimpo no perdon\u00f3. Presion\u00f3 a la bola para conseguir puntos en transici\u00f3n que le dieron un pasaje de 19-6.<\/strong>\u00a0Con un quinteto bajo y r\u00e1pido descont\u00f3 hasta ponerse a cuatro antes del cierre del tercero (68-64).<\/p>\n

En el \u00faltimo cuarto, con el tr\u00e1mite palo a palo, el juego se pic\u00f3. Se hizo m\u00e1s hablado y el ambiente se calent\u00f3. De todos modos Olimpo nunca pudo doblegar al Griego. Es cierto que lo complic\u00f3 y lleg\u00f3 a igualarlo en 88 cuando restaban 1m56s. Pero perdi\u00f3 a Matthews en el desenlace. Tras enredarse con Dentis cay\u00f3 un t\u00e9cnico sobre ambos (ya ten\u00edan uno previo del 1C) y fueron descalificados.<\/p>\n

Sin su pivot dominante de cara al cierre, el Aurinegro dependi\u00f3 casi exclusivamente de Castets. A pesar de empatar otra vez en 90 gracias al base, \u00e9ste sali\u00f3 por cinco infracciones con 53s. Mientras se iba, Maceratesi recibi\u00f3 una falta t\u00e9cnica por protestar. Le quedaron tres libres a Ruiz, que meti\u00f3 2\/3 (92-90).<\/p>\n

La bola clave lleg\u00f3 en la reposici\u00f3n. C\u00e9sar Lavoratornuovo hizo la individual y sac\u00f3 el doble y falta para el delirio de la gente. Si bien err\u00f3 el libre, Atenas qued\u00f3 bien posicionado a falta de 41s (94-90). Jos\u00e9 Guti\u00e9rrez tuvo la chance de ponerle suspenso desde la l\u00ednea, pero termin\u00f3 con 1\/2 para dejarle el triunfo al elenco maragato (94-91). En los \u00faltimos segundos Etchepare (1\/2) y Ruiz (2\/2) decoraron el resultado con simples.\u00a0De esta forma Atenas gan\u00f3 su segundo partido consecutivo como local. Con garra y personalidad se llev\u00f3 un duro juego frente a Olimpo por 97-91.<\/p>\n
