Independiente debut\u00f3 como local, estren\u00f3 el refaccionado parquet del Hermanos Barral y consigui\u00f3 su primer triunfo tras vencer 77-59 a Barracas. \u00a0En un partido en el que hubo 42 perdidas (21 por lado), el Viola comenz\u00f3 a gestar su victoria con un gran segundo cuarto (24-14) e imponi\u00e9ndose en la lucha a\u00e9rea (49-39), ante un rival que abus\u00f3 del tiro externo (5\/33 T3). Agust\u00edn Almir\u00f3n (24) fue el goleador de la noche y estuvo bien acompa\u00f1ado por Ignacio Ercoli (17). En la visita no alcanz\u00f3 con lo hecho por Mariano Trellini (18). <\/strong><\/p>\n

Independiente se present\u00f3 por primera vez en su casa en este 2016 y lo hizo pisando fuerte. A pesar de no contar con Sebasti\u00e1n Branciforte y Gustavo Banchero por sendas lesiones, el Viola se las arregl\u00f3 para bajar a uno de los que a priori es candidato al ascenso: Barracas, quien no tuvo en su equipo a Dami\u00e1n Carci tambi\u00e9n por lesi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, el inicio fue favorable al elenco del Bosque. Con el t\u00e1ndem Mart\u00ednez (8) \u2013 Montanaro (5) castigando a larga y corta distancia, la visita escap\u00f3 13-4 con 4m51s por jugar del 1C. A Independiente le cost\u00f3 asentarse en cancha (tard\u00f3 casi 4m en anotar), pero cuando lo pudo hacer se meti\u00f3 en el partido de la mano de Tachetti (8 en el 1T). Las bombas de Ercoli (7pts) y Almir\u00f3n (5), m\u00e1s los aportes llegando desde atr\u00e1s de Insaurralde (4) lo dejaron arriba al local. De cara al descanso largo el Viola se fue adelante 36-29, tras haber estado abajo 15-21 por las apariciones de Massa (7) y Trellini (3).<\/p>\n

Es una victoria important\u00edsima contra un gran equipo y uno de los candidatos. Con Pacifico estuvimos muy cerca, jugamos bien pero no se nos dio. Ahora tenemos que seguir de esta manera. Branciforte y Banchero son dos jugadores fundamentales para nosotros, pero la clave nuestra es defender y contragolpear, que es a lo que vamos a aspirar todo el a\u00f1o (Ignacio Ercoli).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Con un Trellini inspirado (10 en el 3C), Barracas estamp\u00f3 un pasaje de 10-6 en un poco m\u00e1s de 4m de juego en el segundo tiempo y se puso a tiro (42-39). Sin embargo el Viola supo reaccionar a tiempo para no perder el control. Dos triples claves de Ercoli, los libres de Almir\u00f3n (6\/6 TL) y el empuje debajo del aro de Garc\u00eda (6) le devolvieron la tranquilidad y le permitieron entrar trece puntos arriba al 4C a los dirigidos por Musumeci. La brecha m\u00e1s larga de la noche lleg\u00f3 a 4m55s del final con dos bombas consecutivas de Almir\u00f3n (77-57). Eso le baj\u00f3 el tel\u00f3n al encuentro. Independiente, en un Hermanos Barral refaccionado, gan\u00f3 y renov\u00f3 sus ilusiones.
