Por el subcampeonato en el Mundial 2014, lo que mostr\u00f3 en el Preol\u00edmpico de Belgrado y la jerarqu\u00eda individual, Serbia es un aspirante a medalla. Algo que nunca consigui\u00f3 desde que es independiente.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Y llega a R\u00edo con un grupo de jugadores en plenitud f\u00edsica y basquetbol\u00edstica, mezclando madurez y juventud. Por supuesto, tambi\u00e9n van a Brasil con hambre de gloria. Parece una oportunidad \u00fanica (como para varias otras selecciones).<\/p>\n

Milos Teodosic y Bogdan Bogdanovic encabezar\u00e1n una interesante media cancha. A pesar de perder a Nemanja Bjelica por lesi\u00f3n y a no tener a Boban Marjanovic por decisi\u00f3n del DT, cuenta con un poderoso juego interno. No tanto por lo f\u00edsico (m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la talla), sino por lo t\u00e9cnico.<\/p>\n

Clasific\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s del repechaje que organiz\u00f3, donde super\u00f3 a Puerto Rico (87-81) y Angola (87-60) en primera fase, a Rep\u00fablica Checa (96-72) en semis y de nuevo a Puerto Rico (107-77) en la final.<\/p>\n

Tuvo tres amistosos en C\u00f3rdoba. Se fue al pa\u00eds vecino con victorias ante Francia (105-88) y Croacia (86-77) y una ca\u00edda frente a Argentina (74-79).<\/p>\n

La estrella:<\/strong> Bogdan Bogdanovic. Fue uno de los goleadores del equipo en el Preol\u00edmpico con 17.8 puntos por encuentro y un tremendo 56% en triples, su especialidad. Adem\u00e1s lider\u00f3 al equipo en asistencias con 6 por juego. Se afianz\u00f3 como ladero ideal de Teodosic.<\/p>\n

El hist\u00f3rico:<\/strong> Milos Teodosic. Creativo, t\u00e9cnico y habilidoso. Un talento descomunal para llevar la batuta de Serbia en estos Juegos. Viene de ser campe\u00f3n de Euroliga con CSKA Moscu. Quiere cerrar la temporada de la mejor manera\u2026<\/p>\n

La promesa:<\/strong> Nikola Jokic. Con 20 a\u00f1os y 2.09m ya es parte de la rotaci\u00f3n habitual de Denver Nuggets. En la selecci\u00f3n fue el otro m\u00e1ximo anotador del repechaje, tambi\u00e9n con 17.8 tantos cada 40 minutos. A eso le agreg\u00f3 7.5 rebotes de media. Parece no tener techo.<\/p>\n

La ausencia:<\/strong> Nemanja Bjelica. Se perdi\u00f3 el Preol\u00edmpico por lesi\u00f3n y no lleg\u00f3 a recuperarse a tiempo para la cita en Rio. Sufri\u00f3 la inflamaci\u00f3n de un nervio de su pie derecho, lo que le demandar\u00e1 al menos dos semanas m\u00e1s de recuperaci\u00f3n. Baja sensible para el elenco de los Balcanes.<\/p>\n

El DT:<\/strong> Aleksandar Djordjevic. De prol\u00edfica carrera como jugador, Sasha asumi\u00f3 el cargo en su selecci\u00f3n natal en 2013. Alcanz\u00f3 el subcampeonato mundial en Espa\u00f1a 2014. Siendo base gan\u00f3 un Mundial, tres Europeos y una medalla de plata ol\u00edmpica con Yugoslavia.<\/p>\n
