En una fr\u00eda jornada en San Crist\u00f3bal de la Laguna, isla de Tenerife, se realiz\u00f3 el sorteo de los grupos de primera fase del Mundial de mayores femenino, el cual se disputar\u00e1 en aquella isla espa\u00f1ola, del 22 al 30 de septiembre. Las Gigantes\u00a0recayeron en el grupo B, junto con Australia, Turqu\u00eda y Nigeria. \u00abQuer\u00edamos que nos toque un africano en el grupo, al margen de qui\u00e9n fuera cabeza de serie y el europeo siguiente. Nuestras expectativas est\u00e1n en poder pasar de ronda y poder meternos entre los 12 mejores del mundial\u00bb, sostuvo Cristian Santander.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La ceremonia inici\u00f3 con la palabra del Presidente de la Federaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Baloncesto, Jorge Garbajosa, y a \u00e9l le siguieron el Alcalde de San Cristobal de la Laguna (Alberto D\u00edaz Dom\u00ednguez), el Alcalde de Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Jos\u00e9 Manuel Berm\u00fadez Esparza), el Presidente del cabildo de Tenerife (Carlos Alonso Rodr\u00edguez) y el Vicepresidente de FIBA (Hamane Niang).<\/p>\n

En varios videos no solo se mostr\u00f3 el atractivo tur\u00edstico de esa regi\u00f3n, sino que adem\u00e1s se dieron los argumentos por los cuales se lleg\u00f3 al logo que acompa\u00f1ar\u00e1 a este certamen.<\/p>\n

Previo a realizar el sorteo de los grupos de primera fase, se conocieron los integrantes de cada cop\u00f3n. Los cabezas de zona se alojaron en el \u201c1\u201d, estando all\u00ed Espa\u00f1a como pa\u00eds organizador, Estados Unidos como n\u00famero uno del ranking, Francia como n\u00famero tres y Australia por ser n\u00famero cuatro.<\/p>\n

En el \u201c2\u201d los restantes europeos clasificados: B\u00e9lgica, Grecia, Letonia y Turqu\u00eda. En el \u201c3\u201d, Argentina y Canad\u00e1, m\u00e1s Jap\u00f3n y China.<\/p>\n

Quedando en el \u201c4\u201d, Corea; m\u00e1s los dos representantes africanos: Nigeria y Senegal; y Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

Acto seguido, se hicieron dos salvedades notorias. En un mismo grupo no podr\u00eda haber dos equipos americanos, ni tampoco dos asi\u00e1ticos, entendiendo que Asia y Ocean\u00eda fusionaron su clasificaci\u00f3n. A su vez se mencion\u00f3 que a cada pa\u00eds se le otorgar\u00eda un n\u00famero del 1 al 4 para poder confeccionar luego el fixture.<\/p>\n

El primer nombre en salir fue el de Francia, que se ubic\u00f3 en el segmento \u201cA\u201d. La posterior progresi\u00f3n fue la siguiente:<\/p>\n

Australia al \u201cB\u201d, Espa\u00f1a al \u201cC\u201d y Estados Unidos al \u201cD\u201d. Por el segundo cop\u00f3n; Grecia al \u201cA\u201d, Turqu\u00eda al \u201cB\u201d, B\u00e9lgica al \u201cC\u201d y Letonia al \u201cD\u201d.<\/p>\n

All\u00ed se hizo un alto al sorteo, y se anunci\u00f3 que los integrantes del cop\u00f3n 3, ser\u00edan sacados uno y uno, entre Am\u00e9rica y Asia. Fue as\u00ed como Canad\u00e1 recay\u00f3 en el \u201cA\u201d, Jap\u00f3n en el \u201cC\u201d, Argentina en el \u201cB\u201d y China en el \u201cD\u201d.<\/p>\n

Por \u00faltimo, y siempre recordando la regla de no poder ubicar a dos equipos del mismo continente juntos, se continu\u00f3 sacando bolillas: Puerto Rico al \u201cC\u201d, Corea al \u201cA\u201d, Nigeria al \u201cB\u201d y Senegal al \u201cD\u201d.<\/p>\n

De esta manera los grupos de primera fase quedaron as\u00ed:<\/p>\n

\u201cA\u201d: Corea, Grecia, Canad\u00e1 y Francia.
\n\u201cB\u201d:\u00a0Argentina<\/strong>, Australia, Turqu\u00eda y Nigeria.
\n\u201cC\u201d: Jap\u00f3n, Puerto Rico, B\u00e9lgica y Espa\u00f1a.
\n\u201cD\u201d: Letonia, USA, Senegal y China.<\/p>\n

En esta clase de cert\u00e1menes nadie se puede confiar. Muchos buenos equipos quedaron fuera, y eso ya habla de la calidad de los que s\u00ed est\u00e1n. La gira por China, y luego, la preparaci\u00f3n en Espa\u00f1a, nos ayudar\u00e1 mucho a corregir detalles y seguir creciendo (Cristian Santander)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

El formato de disputa del venidero Mundial contar\u00e1 de estas cuatro zonas recientemente sorteadas. En esa primera fase jugar\u00e1n todos contra todos, clasificando directamente a cuartos de final los primeros de cada grupo.<\/p>\n

Los \u00faltimos de cada grupo terminar\u00e1n su participaci\u00f3n. Segundo y tercero de cada segmento disputar\u00e1n mano a mano una reclasificaci\u00f3n, denominada \u201cClasificatorios de Cuartos de Final\u201d. Su estructura qued\u00f3 definida de la siguiente manera:<\/p>\n

Partido 25: 2A v 3B
\nPartido 26: 2B v 3A
\nPartido 27: 2C v 3D
\nPartido 28: 2D v 3C<\/p>\n

Los vencedores de cada uno de estos cuadros llegar\u00e1n a Cuartos de Final, estableci\u00e9ndose as\u00ed:<\/p>\n

\nPartido 31: C1 v Ganador 25
\nPartido 32: D1 v Ganador 26<\/p>\n

Quienes ganen ir\u00e1n a Semifinales, al tiempo que los perdedores jugar\u00e1n por las colocaciones del octavo al quinto puesto:<\/p>\n
