Gonzalo Torres, de Estudiantes, e Ignacio Moreno, ahora en Trelew, fueron part\u00edcipes del sudamericano clasificatorio y est\u00e1n citados.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

La selecci\u00f3n argentina, con la participaci\u00f3n de Ignacio Moreno y Gonzalo Torres, logr\u00f3 clasificar al mundial el pasado a\u00f1o tras finalizar en la cuarta ubicaci\u00f3n en el torneo FIBA AMERICAS disputado en Sao Sebastiao de Para\u00edso<\/a>, Brasil.<\/p>\n

El sorteo para el Campeonato del Mundo 2013 FIBA U19\u00a0se celebr\u00f3 en Praga y tendr\u00e1 lugar en la capital de la Rep\u00fablica Checa del 27 de junio al 7 de julio.<\/p>\n

Los 16 equipos que representan a los cinco Zonas de FIBA Continental, se dividieron en cuatro grupos de cuatro equipos para la ronda preliminar (7-9 de julio), jug\u00f3 en un nivel formato round-robin.<\/p>\n

Grupo A: Croacia, Espa\u00f1a, Canad\u00e1, Corea
\nGrupo B: Ir\u00e1n, Rep\u00fablica Checa, Lituania, Argentina<\/strong>
\nGrupo C: Senegal, Serbia, Brasil, Australia
\nGrupo D: China, Costa de Marfil, EE.UU., Rusia<\/p>\n

Los tres mejores equipos colocados de cada grupo se clasificar\u00e1n para la ronda de octavos de final (1-3 de julio), que consiste en dos grupos de seis. En esta ronda, cada equipo se enfrentar\u00e1 a los tres nuevos equipos en su grupo. Sparta Arena y Podvinny Mlyn Arena ser\u00e1 sede de la Ronda Preliminar y la Ronda de octavos de final.<\/p>\n

Los ocho mejores equipos de la ronda de octavos de final avanzar\u00e1n a la ronda final tuvo lugar en el O2 Arena. Los cuartos de final ser\u00e1 el viernes 5 de julio, con las semifinales tras el s\u00e1bado 6 de julio y la final el domingo 7 de julio.<\/p>\n

Lituania son los actuales campeones de haber ganado la medalla de oro en el torneo de 2011 en Letonia. Golpearon a Serbia en la final, mientras que Rusia super\u00f3 a Argentina en el juego por la medalla de bronce.<\/p>\n

Las ediciones anteriores del torneo han producido varios de los principales actores internacionales del momento, incluyendo a Pau Gasol, Andrei Kirilenko y Juan Carlos Navarro (1999), Nicolas Batum (2007), Andrew Bogut (2003), Vince Carter y Wang Zhizhi (1995 ) y m\u00e1s recientemente Jonas Valanciunas (2011).<\/p>\n
