Sergio Hern\u00e1ndez anunci\u00f3 los 12 jugadores convocados para la \u00faltima ventana de las Eliminatorias 2019, en las que la Selecci\u00f3n enfrentar\u00e1 a Puerto Rico y Estados Unidos, cerrando el Grupo E, que Argentina actualmente lidera con un r\u00e9cord de nueve triunfos y apenas una derrota.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Entre los nominados aparecen dos bahienses: Lucas Faggiano (actual base de San Mart\u00edn de Corrientes) y Lucio Redivo (Breog\u00e1n de Espa\u00f1a).<\/strong><\/p>\n

El primero de los juegos est\u00e1 pautado para el viernes 22 de febrero, en San Juan de Puerto Rico, y el segundo se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en Greensboro, una ciudad cercana a Carolina del Norte, el lunes 25.<\/p>\n

La delegaci\u00f3n saldr\u00e1 el lunes anterior, el 18, a las 22.20 (dividida en dos grupos), en vuelo directo de United Airlines, para alojarse en el Hotel Verdanza. All\u00ed se unir\u00e1n Marcos Del\u00eda, Nico Brussino y Lucio Redivo, que volar\u00e1n directo desde Europa.<\/p>\n

Luego de enfrentar al equipo de Eddie Cassiano, el s\u00e1bado 23 a las 6.05, el plantel argentino se trasladar\u00e1 hacia Estados Unidos (con escala en Chicago), tambi\u00e9n en vuelo de United, para el destino final. El regreso a Buenos Aires est\u00e1 previsto para el martes 26 por la tarde.<\/p>\n

Vale recordar que la Selecci\u00f3n lleva siete victorias consecutivas (su \u00faltima derrota fue ante Uruguay, en Olavarr\u00eda, el 23 de febrero de 2018) y que ya est\u00e1 clasificada para el Mundial de China, por lo que Hern\u00e1ndez decidi\u00f3 licenciar, en situaci\u00f3n excepcional, a Luis Scola y Nicol\u00e1s Laprovittola.<\/p>\n

En sus anteriores cruces con los rivales que se avecinan, el equipo nacional obtuvo buenas victorias: 106 a 84 a los boricuas, en Formosa, y 80 a 63 a los norteamericanos, en La Rioja.<\/p>\n
